2 Weeks in Paradise!!

This must be the best 2 bedroom unit in the resort. Huge sun filled balcony facing the ocean, and overlooking the pool and beach. We have two kids, so it was great to be able to lay in the sun during nap time. Great layout with two masters with baths as well as a powder room. Amazing furnishings and decor, and appliances. This will definitely be the place we stay every year.

My husband and I brought our two kids, 7 and 12 to Hawaii for the first time. Our main objective in finding a place to say was the beet views. We could not have been more pleased with this amazing condo. Barbara was amazing. She patiently took all of my calls and was very accomdating and helpful when we decided to extend our stay. She checked in out and let us know the better places to go. The description is accurate, if anything this location was better than our expectations! The lanai is amazing with the best sunsets in Maui. There are truly ocean views from every single room. You feel as if you are alone with the location of this condo. Our only downside was we should have spent more time at this unit. Honua Kai has amazing swimming pools and the beach is just out your door. The iPod speaker system throughout the condo was a nice perk as well!! There were plenty of beach towels upon arrival as well as beach toys for the kids. We were in heaven. If you are looking for a condo that feels like home, has plenty of room to move around in, brand new appliances and decor, with the amenities of a resort this is the perfect place. The poolside service and Duke's have great food. There is a times supermarket just around the corner. Great beaches and restaurants minutes away.

Absolute perfection!

We spent 8 wonderful nights in this unit in late August and can't say enough great things about both the place and about Barb, our property manager.
From the moment we arrived, everyone at the Honua Kai made us feel so incredibly welcome. The entire staff was more than accommodating and quick to offer advice and assistance in any way they could. Barb met us in the lobby and personally escorted us to the unit, which was a great personal touch. Note - if you decide to rent this or another unit from Barb you'll see she's a bit of a Rockstar there. Everyone there knows exactly who you're speaking of when you mention her name. :)
The unit itself is even more breath-taking than the pictures portray. This condo has everything you need to enjoy your stay whether it's for a week or for a month. The BBQ on the patio is a very nice touch and we found it to be particularly useful given that we had a 3 year old with us and didn't feel ambitious enough to venture out to dinner every night. The view is stunning and I can only imagine the hours you could spend lounging out there during whale season. I'm sure it's quite a show.
The location of the Honua Kai is on the northern most end of Kaanapali and was a bit windy as most other guest mention but don't let that sway you. There is a convenient shopping market across the street within walking distance and Whaler's Village is just a short 25 - 30 minute walk away on the beachfront path.
I honestly can't say enough great things about this place. We can't wait to return! If you're considering booking it, don't hesitate to go for it. You won't be disappointed.

Amazing Location and Accomodations!

We just returned this morning from six days in Unit 501! I would say this is definitely the best 2-bedroom location in the entire resort for sure! Before we left on vacation, we hesitated spending the extra money to get the benefits of this amazing 2-bedroom condo with the BBQ on the lanai. I must say, it was definitely worth it. Pictures do not do this justice! We loved having the BBQ on the lanai and we loved having the open lanai without the overhang. I was able to get sun while reading a book out on the lanai after an afternoon of swimming. The condo was amazing in every way. Barb was great and other than the initial introduction and explanations, we really needed nothing to make our stay amazing. There were 5 of us total (2 adults and 3 kids ages 8, 12 and 12). My 12 year-old daughter brought a friend and they basically had their own little slice of pre-teen heaven in the second bedroom since it was complete with walk-in closet, bathroom, flat screen and ipod adaptor. The view from this unit is superb and the amenities are first class. We really loved having the beach chairs, boogie boards, pool floats and especially the large cooler bag that we utilized every day to take down drinks and snacks to the beach, pool or on our excursions. We basically ate all our meals in the condo other than one night at Duke's (which was great!!) and an all-day excursion on the Triology to Lanai (highly recommended). I really cannot think of a complaint. We would definintely come back to stay in this unit. I think the only thing that was less than perfect was the wind, but really, a windy day in Maui is better than a perfectly tranquil day most anywhere else in the world! If you are considering staying in this unit, I would say BOOK IT!!!! Makes for a wonderful vacation! Thanks again for letting us into your slice of paradise!!!

Best condo ever!

WOW! What can I say about this condo? This is probably the best 2 bedroom condo at the Honua kai. I understand there are only 5 2 bedroom condos that have their own outdoor kitchens and 501 is the top of the stack! The ocean views are amazing and no photos can accurately show them. This is the largest 2 bedroom floor plan and it is more than roomy. We had a party of 4 staying and with 2 master suites no one felt like they had to compromise. This condo also has a separate powder room so both couples had private baths! Barb was a treasure. She met us in front of the building, got us checked in and escorted us to the condo where she explained EVERYTHING we needed to know about the condo. It is very well stocked and you need to bring little with you except a great attitude! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to be back. I'm missing the sunsets already!
